What's Your Morning Ritual?

The subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between what is real and imagined - our reality is what we feed it. 

With everything that is going on around the world right now I have made a decision to make my own reality a much more positive one.  

So how do I achieve this? 

My morning ritual allows me to set the day in motion with a positive approach so that this mood is likely to carry out through the rest of the day.

I’m an early riser, by getting an early start to the day I give myself enough time to move through my morning with a clear and stress-free mind.

I start my day by meditating or listening to positive affirmations (sometimes my own!). Meditation is something that is quite new to me, I had always avoided it in the past, even as an athlete. I have to admit that meditating daily has been life changing!

I write in my electronic journal how I want my day to be - sometimes this may be something as simple as an emoji 🌟

A daily intentions journal is a great way to establish behaviours, goals, and objectives. This helps us to realise our day-to-day targets so we can live in the present with key intentions.

I think about what I am grateful for. Gratitude is such a great exercise for getting focused on the positives.

My husband Mark brings me an espresso shot then I exercise - it’s important to look after the body and the mind. I often train with Mark who is a functional fitness trainer, go for a walk or even a surf.

And I work on controlling the controllable - the only thing that is really under our control is our attitude towards people, places and the things that are going on around us.
